The researcher is a robot. He said he once was, but a body can't contain him anymore and he hates the idea of being compared to Penny. I told him he was the same as everyone else and he kept refusing, telling me he was superior to everyone and everything around him.
But he's not. He's a robot made by a human named Miller. There has to be an off switch for him somewhere.
