[He doesn't want to make any rash assumptions, but the best he can guess from there being no announcement is that if something didn't happen with them, something happened between Penny and the Researcher. And given his conversation with her before movie night...it leaves him unsettled. To that end, he won't tell Meredith to go back to her room for her own safety even if his first instinct is to do so...it might be better not to be alone right now.] Stay close.
