[Where were you before this? Doesn’t matter, you’re here now, in an unfamiliar bed, surrounded by unfamiliar people, with a slightly-too-cheerful automated voiced chiming over a PA system to wake you up. Your pockets are empty, save for an unfamiliar smartphone type of device that comes alive under your touch, displaying, among other things, a map, a series of profiles, and a list of rules.]

It is understood that you may have questions; please be patient, and gather back in the Common Room in one hour. The Assistant will be present at this time to answer your questions. In the meantime, please feel free to explore the Facility at your leisure.

[The doors to the dorm areas are freely open from the inside, though you’ll find that it takes your electronic id to regain entry once you’ve left. Otherwise, it’s as the voice says, and you’ve got an hour to explore your new surroundings and get to know your fellow kidnappees.]

[ There's a muffled little meep! that comes from under the covers as she hears that grunt; she rolls a little further while she's under the covers, hoping that if she flops flat onto her belly, the pillow will pass right over her.

Unfortunately, she rolls just a touch too far, and falls out of bed on her left side with a thud. ]

[Neku stares... then bursts out laughing. A little hysterically, honestly. But earnest]

Hey, hey, it's not funnyyy...

[ She whines and grumbles as she pokes her head up over the top of the bed, peeking at Neku from over the mattress. Well, at least he seems in better spirits. That's an improvement from before... ]

You're not supposed to laugh at a lady when she gets hurt...

Show me a lady and I'll make sure not to laugh at her.

Oh, you don't just laugh, you have jokes too? I see, I see...

[ She just squints and pokes out more from under the covers, so her face is visible. Good enough? ]

If it makes you feel better after your bad dream, I guess I'll forgive you, though.

[ That's the best explanation for the screaming, right? ]

[ Neku seems a little surprised and embarrassed by that. And while it's clear she's mocking him... he actually is a little touched]

It's fine. Mamimi's had bad dreams every now and again, too.

[ Though it doesn't seem like she's going to apologize for the pillow. ]

Well, it's a dream. Dreams aren't supposed to make much sense. Especially nightmares.

[No, of course, he knows what Coco put them through actually happened. But it sure felt dreamlike, the world he thought he understood twisted on it's head just enough to confuse.

[ She lays back down on the floor, sprawling herself back out on top of the sheet she took along with her. ]

You wouldn't know why the ceiling's different, would you? You ever see this?

It's not the ceiling of my room, that's for sure.

[he gets up, walking over to her... seeming about to help her up, but instead sitting on the floor]

[ She doesn't mind. Company's not bad. Lazing on the floor isn't the best thing in the world, but at least she's not by herself. She looks as though she's stargazing, despite the fact that the only thing above them is a plain wall. ]

Mine, either. I wish it wasn't so plain. Do you think they'll let us redecorate?
