Good morning, Participants. The time is now 7:30 AM.

[Where were you before this? Doesn’t matter, you’re here now, in an unfamiliar bed, surrounded by unfamiliar people, with a slightly-too-cheerful automated voiced chiming over a PA system to wake you up. Your pockets are empty, save for an unfamiliar smartphone type of device that comes alive under your touch, displaying, among other things, a map, a series of profiles, and a list of rules.]

It is understood that you may have questions; please be patient, and gather back in the Common Room in one hour. The Assistant will be present at this time to answer your questions. In the meantime, please feel free to explore the Facility at your leisure.

[The doors to the dorm areas are freely open from the inside, though you’ll find that it takes your electronic id to regain entry once you’ve left. Otherwise, it’s as the voice says, and you’ve got an hour to explore your new surroundings and get to know your fellow kidnappees.]

Uwaah, that's so cool!! Can you show me? I'd love to see how your Quirk- err...your ability works! [Even though it's pretty similar to Ochako's....he's excited okay.]

[People usually aren't this excited about his psychic abilities.. it has him blushing a little from embarrassment.

Shigeo takes a step back, and he moves his hand out towards Izuku with the intention of making him float in mind. But instead.... nothing happens and he just stands there looking like an idiot for all of ten seconds before he realizes something's wrong.]

...huh? My powers are gone...?

[that's alarming]

...gone? [Izuku echoes the word, feeling ice start to settle in his veins.] What do you mean?

[hyaku]

[Shigeo is quiet at the question, bringing his hand back to himself and he clenches and unclenches his fingers a couple of times.]

I don't feel them anymore. I can't sense anything around us, either.

[This has happened before but... it was just contained to one room. And he had help to figure out how to escape and get his abilities back.

Here, he's all alone. And if they're not working in the hallways then he doubts they'll work in any of the other rooms, either.]

[mightdoriya]

[Feel them? Sense...? There's clearly more to his ESP than he's told Izuku off hand...] ...there must be someone with a Quirk here that can erase abilities. Like Aizawa-sensei. It can't be forever. [He refuses to believe that.]

[hyaku]

Mm.

[Shigeo nods a little, but he can't stop looking at the palm of his hand, as if he's expecting his powers to just reappear at any minute.

Could that mean this really was just another branch of Claw? Maybe "Quirk" was just what they called ESP wherever Izuku came from, and they kidnapped a bunch of them again to make them into soldiers. Just like they did with Ritsu. Just like they tried with Teru. And how they surely wanted to do with him, too.

It's kind of scary to think about, and without realizing it his hand has begun to shake.]

...I don't think it's safe here. We need to figure out a way out

[mightdoriya]

[Izuku nods, slowly, but boy if he doesn't feel fucking terrible. He starts to reach for Shigeo, but ends up faltering, drawing his hand back.] ...are you going to be okay?

[hyaku]

[Shigeo looks up at that question, and he sees Izuku's expression. This is an awful situation suddenly but it'd be useless if they both started to panic, right? So he takes in a breath and lets his hand drop to his side, and he gives the other boy a small smile.]

Yeah. I'm okay.

[he'a mcfreakin out]

Um... my name is Kageyama Shigeo.

[mightdoriya]

Oh! I didn't even...I'm sorry. I'm Midoriya Izuku. [He offers Shigeo his hand.] It's good to meet you, Kageyama-kun. I'm...really sorry about all of this, though. If I knew, I wouldn't have said anything...

[hyaku]

No, it's okay. I would have figured out my ESP was gone eventually.

[Shigeo takes Izuku's hand, giving it a small shake.]

It's good to meet you too, Midoriya-kun. After we escape, I'll show you my abilities. Okay?

[mightdoriya]

Okay. You'll have to remind me, I'll make an entry about you in one of my notebooks so I can remember how your powers work.

[hyaku]

An entry about me in your notebook?

[Look at how he lights up at that. He doesn't even fully understand what he's talking about but no one's wanted to write an entry about him before except an annoying reporter girl but that's besides the point.]

[mightdoriya]

Yeah! I make entries about all of the heroes I meet back home...their Quirks, how they work, their weaknesses...it helps me when I'm training to be better to learn how they use their abilities to their own advantage!

[hyaku]

I'm not a hero, though. Are you sure you want me in there with everyone else?

[mightdoriya]

Mm. Well...what is it that you use your powers for, Kageyama-kun?

[hyaku]

Um....

[That's a Tough Question, Izuku. He's used them for many things before, and it's hard to just settle on one honestly.]

...exorcising evil spirits.

[mightdoriya]

[...somehow that...doesn't super correlate with telekinetic powers, but??? He's not going to question him about it when he can't even use them right now.] And are these spirits causing harm and hurting people?

[hyaku]

[Look it's Complicated, alright.]

Sometimes. Sometimes they just cause bad dreams, other times they kill people.

[mightdoriya]

Then...if what you're doing with them is helping people where they otherwise couldn't help themselves, that does make you a hero. [He reaches out, putting an encouraging hand on Shigeo's shoulder.]

[hyaku]

[Shigeo is quiet for a good moment, staring at that hand on his shoulder as he thinks that over. He's never been called a hero before... he's more used to being told his powers don't make him special than being told they make him a hero, and it goes against a lot of his master's teachings in that case. So part of him wants to deny that fact but the other part of him is.. really..... flattered.....]

...my master says that everyone is the same, even if they have supernatural abilities or not. It doesn't make you more special than any other person out there, because we're all just human on the inside.

[mightdoriya]

[Izuku tilts his head a little, considering that.] Your...master? [Uh] Isn't totally wrong with that, either. What I'm saying is...it's what you do with what you have that makes you a hero, whether you are an ESPer or if you're just a normal human being.

[hyaku]

[Oh that's... really encouraging?! Shigeo's eyes sparkle with admiration from those words as he's stupidly gullible and easily moved for someone with one emotion, and he gives a little, excited nod.]

That's a nice way to put it, I think.

[And thinking of it like that changes EVERYTHING]

Uwahh... I really am a hero then, aren't I?

[mightdoriya]

Mhm!! [While it's probably not...wise for Izuku to fill Shigeo's head with visions of grandeaur, he really does believe his own words. He lets his hand slide from his shoulder, then, his expression adopting a good natured smile.] Anyone can be a hero, Kageyama-kun. Don't forget that, okay?

[hyaku]

I-I won't!

[Wow, him. A hero. He wonders if he could be like Superman.. flying around with his crush in his arms..... does she like superheros??]

Thank you, Midoriya-kun. I'd be happy to be in your notebook about heroes.

[mightdoriya]

[Possibly?? I mean live your dreams but only live them realistically, Shigeo.] I'll definitely save some paper for you, then. ...ah, do you think that alligator is still something we should go check up on, or...?
