[Where were you before this? Doesn’t matter, you’re here now, in an unfamiliar bed, surrounded by unfamiliar people, with a slightly-too-cheerful automated voiced chiming over a PA system to wake you up. Your pockets are empty, save for an unfamiliar smartphone type of device that comes alive under your touch, displaying, among other things, a map, a series of profiles, and a list of rules.]

It is understood that you may have questions; please be patient, and gather back in the Common Room in one hour. The Assistant will be present at this time to answer your questions. In the meantime, please feel free to explore the Facility at your leisure.

[The doors to the dorm areas are freely open from the inside, though you’ll find that it takes your electronic id to regain entry once you’ve left. Otherwise, it’s as the voice says, and you’ve got an hour to explore your new surroundings and get to know your fellow kidnappees.]

[Rosa Diaz wakes up in Dorm A2, immediately senses that everything is wrong and she is not in her own bed and that it is indeed Ass Kicking Time, and leaps to her feet, already reaching for her gun, her knife—]

Which one of you took my knife? Where's my gun?

[She's wild-eyed and fearsome and clearly not in the mood to be fucked with.

Eventually she finds her way out into the central common area, fists balled at her sides since that's the only weapon she's got right now, and marches up to the nearest person, reaching for their throat in hopes of pinning whoever it is against the nearest wall.]

You. Answers. Now.

Dorm A2

[ Chloe is immediately reminded of Nadine Ross, which puts her right into Banter Mode. ]

I imagine they're with my gun, somewhere.

[Rosa glances up, chest heaving with barely-restrained rage.]

Two girls, no gun. You don't have an axe, do you?

I seem to be, at the moment, completely disarmed. No guns, no grenades, nada. Just the clothes on my back and my charming personality.

[You earned a grudging amount of respect because you mentioned grenades.]

[This is. Fine. Shigeo definitely wanted to spend the morning being pinned against a wall by an angry woman... he's been through worse, luckily, but it doesn't have him not immediately looking panicked all the same.]

[He lets out a sigh, his hand going up to his throat but he doesn't seem injured or anything, thankfully.]

Uh... my name is Kageyama Shigeo. I want to figure out more about this place, too.

Rosa crosses her arms, looking uncomfortable. She's Bad With Teenagers, historically.]

[Suprise, Janet doesn't seem at all that to be held against her wall by her neck by a strange woman.]

I'm Janet. [No last name,thats probably normal.] As for where we are, I don't know. I can say based on what I've seen it looks to be set-up for long term human and human-adjacent occupation, Detective Diaz.

[Slowly, as Janet is speaking, Rosa relaxes her grip on her throat, since it doesn't seem to be....doing anything, actually. Okay. She blinks.]

How'd you know my name? You been spying on me?

[Ah. This...ah. Izuku gets pinned immediately, his hands reaching back and gripping at the wall for purchase to make the impact less painful when his back hits the wall. He's quite alarmed by the sudden grab, but he learns one thing in that instant that's very, very important. He can't reach his Quirk. He wasn't going to use it unless he had to, mostly to get away, but...he can't feel it at all. And that's enough to make him break out into a cold sweat that isn't entirely related to Rosa having body-slammed him into the wall just then. He lifts both hands up in a placating gesture, slightly trembling as he swallows and looks at her directly.] I d-don't know any more than you do. I woke up here not r-remembering how I got here...or anything. I'm sorry.

[Holy shit, she needs to stop accidentally attacking teenagers. She's gonna get her badge taken away someday if this keeps up. Rosa grimaces and lets go, backing up a step or two to give Izuku some space.]

I'm kinda jumpy. Sorry you got in the middle of it.

[Izuku coughs a little when he's released, but he doesn't seem upset. If anything he just shakes his head, lifting a hand to rub his throat.] It's okay. I'm u....used to it. [He's been Bakugou's punching bag since he was like 6, this is nothing.] I don't blame you for being tense right now. I'm not happy about it either.

Dorm A2

[maxout]

[Electro glances over Rosa's way, not exactly in the best of moods himself either. He breathes deeply for a moment, before he bothers answering her.]

Don't look at me. I don't have anything.

[biolence]

I'll look at anyone I want if they happen to have my shit. You got my shit or no?

I already said I don't have anything, lady! So, no, I don't have your shit!

[ Helena is more than familiar with violent intent, and she can read it on this stranger's face. Nothing about her weird slouchy posture changes, but by the time Rosa clears the distance between her, her own hands fly up -- one trying to grab the wrist coming at her fast, the other her elbow. ]

To give those I must breathe.

[Rosa's not at all expecting that hand to come up and grab her wrist; her elbow jerks back in time, and she wrests her wrist away after a moment.]

[ She doesn't let her guard, but Helena does easily let go when she shakes her grip, and she keeps her hands high. It's somewhere between having putting them up and the guess I'll die stock image posture. ]

Nothing. I am rat in this maze, same as you. [ And because she knows this is not going to be a satisfactory answer, she continues with a thoughtful glint in her eyes. ] You use your hands because you cannot bleed me for what I am knowing, yes? I also had knife before this awakening.

The people who kidnapped us took all of our possessions.

[You seem like you have Information, so Rosa's going to turn and drill you for said Information.]

I wouldn't know. The only hint to an identity so far is one of them calling themselves "The Resercher", and that's just one title listed at the bottom of the rules.
