Good morning, Participants. The time is now 7:30 AM.

[Where were you before this? Doesn’t matter, you’re here now, in an unfamiliar bed, surrounded by unfamiliar people, with a slightly-too-cheerful automated voiced chiming over a PA system to wake you up. Your pockets are empty, save for an unfamiliar smartphone type of device that comes alive under your touch, displaying, among other things, a map, a series of profiles, and a list of rules.]

It is understood that you may have questions; please be patient, and gather back in the Common Room in one hour. The Assistant will be present at this time to answer your questions. In the meantime, please feel free to explore the Facility at your leisure.

[The doors to the dorm areas are freely open from the inside, though you’ll find that it takes your electronic id to regain entry once you’ve left. Otherwise, it’s as the voice says, and you’ve got an hour to explore your new surroundings and get to know your fellow kidnappees.]

[Those in dorm B1 might get a rude awakening if they weren't already, as Neku sits up in his bed gasping and yelling, clutching at his chest like he's been attacked in some way. Anyone coming too close might even get swung at in his sudden panic.

But once he calms down he can be found in the Common Room looking through his new phone. It's way fancier than anything he was used to back in 2008, but it's not so different that he's stumped.]

[Izuku has been trying not to just...jump into peoples' conversations to themselves, but when it comes to those he's spotted with a sort of sour expression from the get-go, it's seemed like the easiest way to actually introduce himself.] Think whoever did this has a sense of humor? [Or perhaps those likes/dislikes actually mean something to you.]

Maybe. Either way, they know way too much about me. And I'm guessing everyone else if mine's this personal.

Yeah...me too. [Izuku knows a lot of villains and others besides have too much information about him, and he doesn't really know how they got it. But a lot of info on UA students tends to be pretty public considering everything they get up to, but it's still unnerving regardless.] I'm guessing you don't remember anything like being kidnapped from before you woke up, either.

[Neku just kinda stares at him as if he can't decide if 1) This kid is an idiot or 2) if he himself is reading all this completely wrong.]

No. I just kinda escaped from being kidnapped. Sort of.

[Izuku is nothing if not...a little dumb sometimes, but idiot he isn't. It definitely feels like a kidnapping situation, at least given everything he's been through lately.] Really? I'm sorry about that. [He sounds genuinely sympathetic at least, as well as not interested in pressing about the specifics.] I've been sort of...well. My classmates and I...we've been dealing with a lot of bad people threatening us, lately. It's why I'm kindof on edge about all of this right now.

[ Okay, that is a lot of commotion coming from way over there...Mamimi peeks open with one eye just to see what the trouble is, just to make sure he isn't literally getting attacked. Sure, he's got his hand on his chest like he's having a heart attack, but other than that, he looks fine--

There's a pillow being thrown in Neku's general direction; the aim is way, way off, and it sort of beelines towards the floor near Neku's nightstand before it even gets close to touching his bed. But the second it leaves her hand, Mamimi rolls over and curls up again under her sheets, pretending to sleep.

Sorry, Neku. A girl needs rest. ]

[The pillow is enough to get his attention and stop almost-screaming. But honestly, he's still panicked, tears in his eyes because not again damn it.

So he snarls and grabs the pillow off the floor and chucks it back, hard. Just out of frantic spite]

[ There's a muffled little meep! that comes from under the covers as she hears that grunt; she rolls a little further while she's under the covers, hoping that if she flops flat onto her belly, the pillow will pass right over her.

Unfortunately, she rolls just a touch too far, and falls out of bed on her left side with a thud. ]

[Neku stares... then bursts out laughing. A little hysterically, honestly. But earnest]

[ She whines and grumbles as she pokes her head up over the top of the bed, peeking at Neku from over the mattress. Well, at least he seems in better spirits. That's an improvement from before... ]

You're not supposed to laugh at a lady when she gets hurt...

[The words are groggy, because Veronica feels like - well, hell. Why is someone screaming. What the fuck is going on. Is this the afterlife. Is she dead for real this time? That's disappointing, but probably to be expected when you blow up your psycho ex-boyfriend and probably part of your school.]

[Said in the most deadpan tone. Veronica just earned points with the screaming boy]

I just woke up, okay. I can't be a comedic genius before I've eaten breakfast.

[On a scale of, like. How weird this is? This is sitting at a solid 5 or 6, but at some point after you're an accessory to multiple murders and you definitely just blew up part of your school, everything stops mattering and waking up in a weird place is actually an improvement.]

[He hasn't actually looked at the profiles yet so he's just assuming Neku's talking about actual people's names.]

I still don't really get them now, but I'm over it.
