[So, with introductions made, you're all left to your own devices for the time being. Explore, make friends, try not to go insane in your new surroundings. Maybe organize a game of that Trailseeker thing? Your time is your own.]

[You are woken every day at 7:30 AM by the same robotic voice that woke you on day one. At 11pm each night, a similar message plays reminding everyone about the start of quiet hours and dimming the lights.]

[If you want to talk to Penny, she can be found in the Security Office if she's not anywhere else in the Facility. Office hours appear to be whenever.]

Today, the Dining Hall is serving:

[Sonia is still mad! Her being a vampire is public knowledge and she's trapped in this experimental facility until the Researcher feels like letting them go. She's stuck. Everything is awful.

So she has to find some way to escape. Yes, that's it. It's a test. She has to used what skills she has to find a way out, find a weakness in the system, break out. She's not staying here. She's not staying here.

Sonia stays in the Computer Room for most of the day, spending most of her time attempting to get into the computer files. If there is anything she can do that doesn't involve literally punching her way out, it's computers. Hopefully this time she won't download a pornsite virus to hide her tracks, but hey, this time it's not goint to be a rush job.

...After a while, she plays a few rounds of Oregon Trail. The leader is always Sonia, and the names of her family: Glochter, Sullivan, Halliwell, J. Wild. She seems to be doing okay until the hunting portions. Because she can't get to shoot a damn thing and OOPS fuck it everyone's starving.]

[But no, nothing quite that obvious, unfortunately.]

[The desktop display just contains a basic word processing program, a folder of games, the trash, and the main hard disk directory itself.]

Really. [One point for herself: she doesn't ford the rivers. Sonia pauses the game to check on her food supplies - she's not downgrading the meals to meager portions, but she's getting to the point where hunting is unavoidable.]

Once you know what problems come up the most, you can optimize your purchases.

This game is awesome. I never got why they punished you for killing people, though.

It's for killing the wrong people.

[She's trying to get a high score, so she named her family after other vampires who are useful she gives a shit about because there's no option to sacrifice a person and benefit from it.]

Besides, there's no point in building a new house without allies.

Not if you ask me. Only reason to travel cross-country and build a new house is to be alone, and nobody knows where you went.

[She crosses her arms, but then reaches over to point at the screen.]

[Always buy 1 or 2 extra oxen. This is going well. They make progress, they pass a trading post where Sonia buys a lot of food...]

[ Shinso isn't pleased, though he's taking the situation as best as he can, one day at a time. First things first, he is going to be walking straight into the ??? Room to investigate, because though there seems to be a lot of useless things in here, it might be worth seeing if there's anything that can be exploited in the foundation of this room for escape. Or...maybe someone left something behind. Who knows.

After that, he decides to head to the Library to grab some books. ]

Good to see that they have at least a nice collection.

[ Then he'll be seen heading back towards the Dorms for some shut eye and he'll have a few books with him as he does so. ]

[There's a lot of stuff to go through in here, once you're past the mannequins. Are you going about this with any particular method, or just kind of picking a spot and digging through junk until you hit a wall?]

[ Pretty much going to start us off with choosing somewhere random and pushing aside things to see how long it takes for him to hit a wall, or if he discovers something worth examining before then. ]

[Everything is worth examining on some level, Shinso! Or whoever filled this room seems to think so, anyway.]

[If you're just sort of digging, the progression of piled up items goes something like-]

>stale can of Pringles (sour cream and onion flavor)
>shoebox full of dull rocks
>bicycle, missing one wheel
>a worn, stained cookbook missing a cover, but declaring on the first page that YOU TOO CAN SIZZLE IT UP
>some sort of toy robot, badly fire damaged
>shoebox full of slightly shiny rocks
>some kind of- um-

[Well, the last one is some kind of scientific model, probably? Maybe a very small prototype. It's a series of lenses arranged on a complex tangle of interlocking, movable rings, so different combinations of lenses can be lined up by manipulating the device's base. Sort of like a model solar system? Only much more complex, and with no actual planets.]

[It's also notable that it's been carefully packed away, in a padded container rather than tossed in haphazardly.]

[ So essentially, a bunch of trash except for the last one, and at the object he's going to be raising a brow as it does make him pause in his dedicated search. Well, he'll move the padded container away from the rest of the junk here, as he's going to definitely come back to it once he's finished scouring through this room. He continues to rifle through whatever's left to see if there's anything else that might look out of sorts in here. ]

[Trash unless you're the world's worst hoarder or in really desperate need of spare parts for a Rube Goldberg machine, maybe. But yeah, it's mostly more of the same as Shinso keeps digging. The mannequin with "DON'T BLINK" written on its chest in large, vaguely threatening letters might be a little interesting, but that's about it.]

[Unless he's especially interested in the large, metal door that becomes visible as he reaches one of the dark, back corners of the room.]
