[So, with introductions made, you're all left to your own devices for the time being. Explore, make friends, try not to go insane in your new surroundings. Maybe organize a game of that Trailseeker thing? Your time is your own.]

[You are woken every day at 7:30 AM by the same robotic voice that woke you on day one. At 11pm each night, a similar message plays reminding everyone about the start of quiet hours and dimming the lights.]

[If you want to talk to Penny, she can be found in the Security Office if she's not anywhere else in the Facility. Office hours appear to be whenever.]

[Izuku picks himself up off the ground to stand when he hears the sound of dull punching against a tree not too far from him, and he decides to break for a moment to check it out. He's only slightly surprised to see that it's Sonia when he finally locates the source of the sound.] Looks like we both had the same idea, huh?

[aragona]

[PUNCH.]

It's better than nothing.

[She can imagine Penny's face and she feels better.]

I'll need a sword. [Gripping one of the tree branches...this is a bit too thick.]

[mightdoriya]

[Hey, whatever works. Though the mention of a weapon makes Izuku raise his brows a little.] What are you planning to do?

[aragona]

[She lets go and moves onto the next tree.]

To practice with. Just because my weapon was taken doesn't mean I can't train.

[...For what, exactly.]

[mightdoriya]

[He can relate to wanting to train- I mean, that's exactly what he's doing right now- but training with a weapon specifically implies that she plans on using it eventually, so...that's something to think about.] Right. I...I would be careful who you say that to, though. We're not trying to start any fights here, at least not between the others. [He isn't going to tell you to not go after the robot, but he can't promise you it'd go well, either.]

[aragona]

All of my fights are for a reason.

[I mean, she did want to kill Penny so they can escape? But that's...pretty tenuous.]

We'll have to fight someone once we break out. That's how it works.

[mightdoriya]

[Hearing that gives him reason to relax a little.] Oh no, I'm expecting a fight, then. It's hard to say when that shoe is going to drop, though. [Up to now, it's only been a few days that he's tracked. A few days in a hostage situation though is...a really long time, so who even knows.] So you fight with a weapon and without?

[aragona]

[There. A thin branch that she can imagine is her rapier. Sonia wiggles it up and down before tugging it downward and snapping it off.]

I fight with a weapon, but I'm strong enough not to be helpless without it.

[mightdoriya]

It's an advantage, being familiar with both, I think. I have abilities normally that make it so I don't really need a weapon, usually...but it wouldn't be a bad idea knowing how to use one. [Especially here with no Quirk to rely on. His strength is that of what it was before, if only slightly better now that he's been training his body to withstand the brunt of it.]

[aragona]

Abilities.

[She stops in front of her punching tree, frowning at the ground.]

The profile says you're human.

[mightdoriya]

I am. [Izuku stretches his arms in front of him as he speaks.] People from my world are born with Quirks, unique abilities that give us the power to do things beyond what a human might be able to do normally. Somehow, my Quirk was removed here, but...normally, I have enhanced strength.

[aragona]

Your world...

[Which leaves one to wonder how, biologically, the same species end up with different skillsets.]

You mention "normally." Compared to what?

[mightdoriya]

[Honestly, the wild thing here is that Izuku has no idea. Even the brightest minds still don't seem to really know how Quirks came to be. It sort of just...happened one day. A baby was born and was just literally glowing and eventually people just started to accept that 90% of the population had superpowers now.] Compared to people who don't have Quirks. [He pauses for a moment.] It's less common to find someone born without one than with, so it's extremely rare, but there are people who don't have any...I guess you'd call it super-human abilities whatsoever. What you'd consider normal human ability has become abnormal, basically.

[aragona]

[There's a small noise in the back of her throat that could be either interpreted as a cough or attempt at a laugh.]

"Superhuman." The alternative would be to call the Quirkless ones "subhuman."

[So Hero Academia world still knows what the baseline is. Interesting.]

But in my case, those with powers are rare and not considered to be entirely human, as you can see with myself.

[mightdoriya]

[That causes him to wince inwardly, but he manages to at least keep it out of his expression.] Right...I will say, I've never met someone classified as a vampire before. People with Quirks similar to one I've heard of, maybe... [He brings a hand to his mouth, thinking.] ...have your abilities been stripped away, too?

[aragona]

Of course, which means whoever the Researcher is knows about the Kindred and dabbles in the rituals of the Ordo Dracul. I know some of them manage to stay up past sunrise for an hour, but I have never heard of a Kindred who can stay awake all day.

[mightdoriya]

[Izuku frowns, letting his hands drop back to his sides.] This Researcher knows a lot more about all of us than I'd like. It's almost hard to believe how much they know, and how much they've been able to do.

[aragona]

I'm not surprised. The Ordo are a crafty coterie. I would not doubt they will work with similar institutions across worlds.

[mightdoriya]

[It's something Izuku has noticed. They all have different ideas of who might be behind this. Sonia has a great evil from her world, and Izuku has one in his own...it's hard to pinpoint just where the source could have come from, but knowing there are multiple avenues only makes the situation more complicated.] I just hope we'll be ready to face them, whoever it ends up being. It's going to be a lot harder for me without... [He trails off, looking down at one of his clenched fists at his side.]

[aragona]

[Funnily enough, the Order is also a source of good but Sonia fucking hates them due to her experiences.

She's still not going to like them even if they are rescued by the good ones.]

We are still stronger than a typical mortal. All we have to do is keep up our energy.

[…………...Izuku looks like he has plenty of blood to spare.]

[mightdoriya]

[That's a perfectly normal thing to be thinking, no problems here! Inwardly, he isn't so sure, but...at least he is trained. Even without the use of his Quirk in an active sort of way, he could still out-think and out-maneuver most that tried to get in his way. Most.] Mm. That's part of why I came out here, to train. Usually I would be training during my classes, but this is the best I can really do right now.
