[You are woken every day at 7:30 AM by the same robotic voice that woke you on day one. At 11pm each night, a similar message plays reminding everyone about the start of quiet hours and dimming the lights.]

[If you want to talk to Penny, she can be found in the Security Office if she's not anywhere else in the Facility. Office hours appear to be whenever.]

[Kara didn't see what transpired before the fiery storm overtakes Patches, but she manages to catch the aftermath.

The sight of the scorch marks on the ground, and the voice overhead talking to Penny... it only barely snaps her attention away. It's almost difficult, wrapping her mind around the process of events.

Almost numbly, she lets Penny push past her, only turning and holding a hand out as she's on her way.]

Pen... [Should she? What can she say here?]

[Penny freezes, for just a second, as Kara calls out to her.]

Miss Kara, I'm- ...I need to go, I'm sorry.

[Said without turning or meeting Kara's face.]

[That's how it is for Androids, isn't it?]

[That actually gets her to turn, blinking in confusion.]

Why would- yes, of course!

[Except for anyone that hates Penny. But Kara naturally sees things differently, anyway.

She notes the confusion, putting on what she hopes to be a reassuring smile.]

I just don't want you to get into too much trouble with your owner.

My- oh! No, no, the Researcher- no, he's not my owner, he's- my friend. ...and my boss, I guess?

I mean, he's also sort of my boss? But- um.

[She's quiet for a moment, thinking.]
