[You are woken every day at 7:30 AM by the same robotic voice that woke you on day one. At 11pm each night, a similar message plays reminding everyone about the start of quiet hours and dimming the lights.]

[If you want to talk to Penny, she can be found in the Security Office if she's not anywhere else in the Facility. Office hours appear to be whenever.]

Probably not, but it'd be hot! Warm and gross is usually preferable to cold and gross, in terms of food, isn't it?

So, can you only consume blood? No making a fun little bloody meat slurry?

Meat? If we had someone infuse it with Vitae, I yes, but that's best done for social events when someone bothers to put in the effort.

...Shouldn't you know this, demon?

[Michael snorts.]

Why would I care about vampire stuff?

Aren't your kind the sort to meddle in the affairs of other supernaturals?

[eudaimonikos]

Not as often as that. It's completely illegal!

[He says with a big grin.]

All my business has been with angels. Keep it in the afterlife, you know.

[aragona]

[Raises an eyebrow.]

Angels are real?

[eudaimonikos]

Oh, yes. Real uptight sort. Not really all that different from us in terms of power or ability, it's mostly just the sweatervests.

[aragona]

You sound insincere. [But that could be attributed to him being a demon.] Though this could be attributed with the "multiple universe" theory.

[eudaimonikos]

Oh, obviously there's different universes at play here!

[Not, uh, addressing the insincerity at all I guess]

Mine doesn't have half this bullshit. Our humans aren't anywhere near making real artificial intelligence.

[aragona]

That's one point where we would agree.

[hm.]

But if they were able to remove my powers, they must have Kindred in this universe.

[eudaimonikos]

Well, not necessarily. Infinite universes mean infinite possibilities - there could be a billion other things out there that could do it, and you'd never know.

'Course, if we focus too much on the nature of endless possibility, we'll never get anywhere.

[aragona]

And an endless search for home.

[mmmmm]

But the trail can't be completely covered.

[eudaimonikos]

No. They must be keeping records, if nothing else, or else they're not very good at research.

[aragona]

They have some sort of powerful computer in the facility. Whatever we need has to be in there.

[Eyes the demon. She both trusts and can't trust him.]

The first step is breaking our way down there.

[Michael nods.]

I'm trying to make friends with Penny, but I don't know how much she could help. Seems like she can just be reset every time she starts to question her orders.

[aragona]

...Penny. [She frowns.] You thought she could be trusted?

[eudaimonikos]

[Michael snorts.]

Trust is a strong word. I think she could be helpful.

[aragona]

Appearances can be deceiving. For all we knew, that attitude could have been an act to catch us off-guard.

[eudaimonikos]

No reason to keep remote rebooting her, then. Unless that's a ploy to make us more sympathetic...but they'd have to balance that against the fact that it also makes her appear unreliable.

'Course, half of us are likely to like her anyway, just because she's a robot.

[aragona]

Whether or not we like her, she's not a cooperative one.
